Sisters of Kerridwyn

With me poetry has not been a purpose, but a passion.

--Edgar Allen Poe

Welcome to the Realm of Rhyme where the music of words
Plays upon the inner ear - enticing the soul to soar.
Here we cavort, as we take up our quills,
Spinning a gossamer web of thoughts - of sounds -
Of lyrical song sung prose and rhyme.

Sisters of the pen! You are all invited to share your
Winsome thoughts and psalms of joy, sorrow or care.
Give us your prose, your epics, your inspirations
Your soul-searching soliloquies, essays and rhymes.

Join our realm and celebrate the women authors
Whose poems and prose have lifted our hearts throughout the years.
Through your offerings each month, we will journey together
As we re-discover these Women of Wonder
And explore our own talents as well.

With arms opened wide, we offer our hands to our sisters,
Who turn to us for pentameter pure or trimeter true,
For occasions dear to their hearts,
They will call on me and on you.
And we - ready stand -
Will prepare pleasing words and sweet discourse.

Shall you stand the challenge?

A word is not a crystal, transparent and unchanged, it is the skin of a living thought and may vary greatly in color and content according to the circumstances and the time in which it is used.

--Oliver Wendell Holmes
